A Minnesota native, I am a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead, where I earned my BFA in Graphic Design in 2014. I also minored in Film Production, studied Creative Writing, and took a science credit called “The Science of Cooking,” which has allowed me the privilege of being able to scientifically ruin things in the kitchen.

Since graduation, I have moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in graphic design. I started work at an architecture company called TCA Architects in June of 2014, where, under direct supervision of the Graphic Design Studio Practice Leader, I’ve learned the ins and outs of environmental graphic design, and continued to develop my skills in branding, typography, print, digital, web design, and even video editing and motion graphics. Being a part of a small team (two full-time employees and a freelancer) has allowed me to gain a breadth of knowledge in every stage of a very wide variety of projects.

In my free time, I write a lot. I’ve founded a little blog called The Sundaze; originally it began as a place for me to share the obscene amount of music I was discovering with the advent of the newly introduced 40-hour work week. I’ve since recruited a handful of my closest friends to write about their passions as well. I have conducted interviews with artists and musicians both in-person and via e-mail, and I enjoy the challenge of writing original, thoughtful, and analytical reviews of music and essays about a wide variety of topics.
